The 2 Johns Deliver Online Safety Training to Year 7 Students

On Tuesday 1st November, the Lower Academy welcomed eSafety training professionals ‘The 2 Johns’, who delivered a ‘Stay Safe Online’ assembly to our Year 7 students.
The 2 Johns, former policemen, shared their experiences with important issues and gave advice on gaming sites, privacy settings, sharing images, webcams and guidance on disabling location settings.
“The assembly was really important because it helped us learn how we can prevent the dangers we may face online.” Kolbey.B
“The 2 Johns gave us great advice, for example how to turn off your location settings to prevent strangers knowing where you live. We also learned that Childline has a website where you can get help and report things anonymously.” Sofia.D
“We were given great advice about how to be careful online and not to share any personal information to people we do not know. My overall thought was that the 2 John’s gave an amazing assembly.” Sophia.O
“I loved the 2 Johns presentation as it was very informative and interesting. It taught me how to stay safe online and keep away from strangers.” Greta.D
“I think it was very important to know this information so we keep safe. We learned that people can track down your location using data on photos.” Zack.A
