Students Embrace LGBTQ+ Project
A group of Year 8 students recently took part in a project to promote and raise awareness of LGBTQ+ rights. The project was part of their RSHE lesson.
“I loved this project on awareness and rights of the LGBTQ+ community. It really helped me appreciate their journey through discrimination and how far they have come. The project has made me aware of how a simple act of kindness pushes us further towards equality.” Annie. R

“It is extremely important for us to learn about LGBTQ+ rights because we should understand how much we’ve had to go through for it to be accepted and it could make others feel better in themselves. I very much enjoyed making the leaflets and poster boards because they were fun to make and it’s nice to educate others about the cause and to let others know they are not alone.” Isabelle.P
