Lower Academy Awarded Prestigious Eco-Schools’ Green Flag
Congratulations to our Eco Committee, who have recently received an international accreditation for their exceptional work in promoting sustainability and raising environmental awareness amongst their peers.
Our dedicated group of students used the Eco-Schools framework to drive positive change within the school. The committee took the lead on several environmental initiatives, including establishing a wildlife garden, creating an allotment, planting trees, developing a sensory garden, and raising funds for various charities.
To further support the academy's sustainability efforts, the committee have launched several awareness campaigns aimed at educating our community about important environmental issues. These initiatives focus on topics such as plastic pollution and the protection of endangered species; encouraging everyone to take part in creating a more sustainable future.
“Congratulations on earning the Eco-Schools’ Green Flag with Merit! Your Eco-Committee are fantastic ambassadors for your school and the Eco-Schools’ programme.
