Due to our continued growth in student numbers, we are seeking to appoint a Deputy Headteacher to join our Senior Leadership Team.

The Deputy Headteacher (Pastoral, Personal Development and Safeguarding) is a cross-academy role. The successful candidate will lead on Pastoral, Safeguarding and Personal Development strategies across both the Basildon Upper and Basildon Lower Academies.

The successful candidate will work across the trust, reporting directly to the Trust Headteacher, providing professional leadership and management capacity across our schools.

This exciting opportunity offers the successful candidate scope to lead and drive strategies that support both our schools to achieve their targets and strategic aims for pastoral care, behaviour for learning, safeguarding, and personal development.

Additionally, the role will allow you to forge constructive relationships beyond the trust, working in partnership with the local community, external providers, and agencies.

If you have vision, drive and a desire to demonstrate your impact as a leader, we would welcome you joining our team.

This is an outstanding career opportunity for the right person. You will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution across our schools, whilst gaining skills and experience which will prove invaluable to those with aspirations for Headship.

If you would like to be considered for this opportunity, please download and complete our application form, and on a separate document please demonstrate how your knowledge, skills and experience meet the Key Responsibilities criteria on the job description (1500 words maximum). Please return both documents to our Recruitment & Cover Coordinator, Olivia Faustino - recruitment@basildonacademies.org.uk

The Basildon Academies are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects staff to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be subject to DBS and health checks.

We reserve the right to close this advertisement early if we receive a high volume of suitable applications or are able to fill the position faster than originally anticipated.

Tours of the academy can be facilitated prior to application upon request.
