Shy Cookie, an influential figure in the UK Garage scene for over two decades, guided students through the exciting world of DJing. From mixing and beat matching to sharing insights from his illustrious career, the workshop offered an engaging and hands-on learning experience. It was fantastic to see students immerse themselves in the music and gain practical skills directly from a professional.

The workshop was organised by the Basildon Lower Academy Music Department for the second consecutive year, following the success of last year’s sessions. Miss Stoddard once again coordinated the event, ensuring it was a memorable and enriching experience for everyone involved.
