Green Initiatives Support Local Wildlife & Recycling Week

Our Eco-Committee have recently been busy with two fantastic projects to support our environment and promote sustainability at school.

Hedgehog House for Wildlife
To help endangered hedgehogs, Eco-Committee students have designed and built a cosy hedgehog house, which is now safely placed in the hedges around the school field. This provides a safe habitat for hedgehogs and encourages awareness about protecting local wildlife.

"I enjoyed painting and building the hedgehog house, but most of all, I loved hiding and camouflaging it to keep it secluded." Nathaniel.H – Year 8

Composting for School Gardens
Eco-Committee students have also been busy creating a composting system using special worms to recycle organic waste. They’ve been collecting compostable materials, which will turn into nutrient-rich soil in a few months—perfect for growing our own vegetables!

A huge thank you to the Eco-Committee for their hard work and commitment to a greener future! Stay tuned for more updates on these inspiring projects.
