Coronation Fayre

On Thursday 4th May, the Lower Academy hosted a wonderful charity event to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III.

Students and staff were joined by parents and families for a memorable afternoon of fun activities and entertainment.

Live music from the school samba band entertained the crowd and the cast of Matilda Jr performed an extract from our upcoming school production.

Fundraising stalls were run by students, who had created royalty themed games for our guests to take part in. The fayre generated a sense of community atmosphere, with plenty of hot dogs and hot chocolate available to all guests with the chance to win great prizes in the raffle.

Well done to ‘SEND’ for winning the team challenge, raising a huge £114 on their sponge throwing stall. Form R8T2 were the highest Enrichment group fundraisers with £66.75.

The event raised over £700 for our chosen charity ‘The Princes Trust’, and we would like to thank everyone who contributed to making this event such a great success.
